Lee M. Rossi - Fine Artist - Illustrator
Painter of Stories, Dreams & Hope
Being a dreamer is a good thing - most artists are. Accomplished South Florida fine artist, Lee M. Rossi, is known for his dream-like acrylic paintings and compelling compositions. A graduate of the University of Hartford, Rossi holds a B.F.A. with a major in Ilustration and minor in Art History.
Telling stories has always been a focus for inspiration when Rossi is creating. His passion is evident through the eyes of his characters that he creates. Rossi has the ability to transport the viewer to another time and place. His main voice when creating is about embracing nature and all it's beauty. This has always been a simple yet complicated desire and concept for Rossi.
He has been selling his work in South Florida since 1992, and for the past 25 years he has resided in Boca Raton, teaching his skill publicly and privately. From 1995- 2007, Rossi owned and operated Wild at Art, an interactive instructional art studio and gallery, located in the heart of downtown Boca Raton. Rossi was a fixture in East Boca Raton most notably known for his exotic animal paintings, murals and teachings with the general public, mostly retirees and local country club residents in Palm Beach County.
In 2008, as a father with two young children, Rossi decided to start teaching to a younger crowd, high school students, at American Heritage School in Delray Beach, Florida. For the past nine years, his program has grown by leaps and bounds resulting with five nationally recognized works of student art with the Scholastics Art and Writing Competition and the internal organization, Sister Cities.
Mr. Rossi’s vision for creating and teaching over the past 20 years can be summed up with the idea that art should bring us together and generate thoughts and ideas for a new and better world, a world that inspires the hearts of all who are interested to rise up and take part in finding their very own dreamer inside. Being a dreamer is a good thing, most artists are.
